Samuel was the prophet who annointed the first king of Israel. I started my “Lesson’s from the Kings” of Israel study with him. He was a man chosen by God at a young age to be a prophet – dedicated to God before even being conceived! One of my favourite accounts of Samuel was when he first recognized God’s voice as a child. Oh that my response to God will always be like Samuel’s! You’ll come across that story in the first 7 chapters. Enjoy the back story then come along with me and dive in to the somewhat messy, somewhat amazing, always engaging lives of the kings of Israel.
